Karakteristik Pembelajaran Bahasa Jerman dalam Masa Pandemi Covid-19 di SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono Kabupaten Nganjuk

Abstract: The Covid-19 outbreak has affected the structures of people’s lifestyles a lot. Education is one of the most affected sectors by it. The learning process that has been going on for decades by face-to-face approach, it must be now carried out to be online learning in order to prevent the virus outbreak. Various studies revealed that many challenges must be faced due to sudden changes in the learning approach. Hence, using qualitative approach with a case-study method, this study described the characteristics of the German learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono during the Covid-19 pandemic era. It was revealed that the first year of the German learning process in SMA Negeri Kertosono has not yet been ideal. There are still many obstacles, challenges, and difficulties. These are (1) limited availability of learning resources and time allocation, (2) lack of variations in learning methods and (3) insufficient use of technology-based learning platforms and media.

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 telah memberikan pengaruh besar bagi banyak sektor kehidupan manusia. Salah satu sektor yang terkena dampak besar ialah sektor pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran di sekolah yang sejak lama berlangsung secara tatap muka harus dilakukan dalam jaringan secara online untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19 di masyarakat. Berbagai penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa berbagai hambatan dan tantangan pendidikan harus dihadapi akibat perubahan proses pembelajaran yang terjadi secara mendadak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus untuk memaparkan karakteristik pembelajaran bahasa Jerman di SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun pertama proses pembelajaran bahasa Jerman di SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono selama masa pandemi Covid-19 belum dapat dikatakan ideal dan masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam pelaksanaannya, antara lain (1) keterbatasan alokasi waktu dan sumber belajar, (2) kurangnya variasi metode pembelajaran, dan (3) kurang maksimalnya penggunaan media dan platform pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi.
