Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10,5-point font; cambria regular, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Innovation and Teacher Professionalism (JITPro) accepts original scholarly articles that explore alternative, critical, and re-conceptualized perspectives on teacher education. Manuscripts should explicitly present the relationship between theory and practice and must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts should be between 4,000–7,000 words, excluding references and supplementary files.
  • Submissions must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • The manuscript should use Cambria font, 10.5-point size, 1.15 line spacing, on A4-sized paper.

Authors are required to use the official JITPro manuscript template when preparing their submissions.

Headings

All headings must be written in Bold, Title Case (Capital First Letter), and left-aligned.

Manuscript Structure

All articles should include the following components:

  1. Title
  2. Full name(s) of author(s) (without academic titles)
  3. Institutional affiliation(s) and address(es)
  4. Corresponding author’s email address
  5. Abstract (150–200 words)
  6. Keywords (3–6 words or phrases)
  7. Introduction
  8. Method (if applicable)
  9. Findings
  10. Discussion
  11. Conclusions
  12. Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  13. References ( APA 7th edition )
  14. Appendix (if applicable)

References and Citation

  • The reference list must include only sources cited in the manuscript.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
  • All references must be arranged alphabetically and formatted according to the APA 7th edition .

Review and Editorial Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening and are reviewed by subject-matter experts through a double-blind peer review process. The editorial team reserves the right to edit manuscripts for formatting consistency and clarity without altering the scholarly substance.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000 applies to accepted manuscripts. This fee covers editorial processing, peer review management, and publication.

Copyright and Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts. Any legal consequences arising from the use of copyrighted materials, intellectual property, or third-party content are the sole responsibility of the author(s).
