Abstract

Abstract: This study evaluated the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in improving service skills in badminton students. A quasi experimental design with a pretest posttest control group model was applied to the AR based learning group and the group using conventional methods. The assessment instruments included service direction accuracy, technique consistency, wrist stability, and shuttlecock trajectory. The results showed a statistically significant increase in the AR group compared to the control group (p equal 0.000), with an average increase of 22.6 points across all service skill indicators. The independent t test and high effect size values ​​confirmed that the increase was a real impact of the AR intervention. These findings indicate that AR strengthens visual perception, motor coordination, and understanding of motion mechanics in executing service techniques. Thus, AR based learning is proven to be effective as a technology based sports learning strategy and can be the basis for developing digital media that is adaptive to the needs of skills practicums.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan servis pada mahasiswa mata kuliah bulutangkis. Desain quasi eksperimen dengan model pretest posttest control group diterapkan pada kelompok pembelajaran berbasis AR dan kelompok yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penilaian mencakup akurasi arah servis, konsistensi teknik, stabilitas pergelangan, serta lintasan shuttlecock. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan secara statistik pada kelompok AR dibanding kelompok kontrol (p  sama dengan  0,000), dengan kenaikan rata rata sebesar 22,6 poin pada seluruh indikator keterampilan servis. Uji independent t test dan nilai effect size yang tinggi menegaskan bahwa peningkatan tersebut merupakan dampak nyata dari intervensi AR. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa AR memperkuat persepsi visual, koordinasi motorik, dan pemahaman mekanika gerak dalam eksekusi teknik servis. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis AR terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran olahraga berbasis teknologi dan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan media digital yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan praktikum keterampilan.
