Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore the role of peer-reflection in improving learning outcomes through sharing good practices among lecturers of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, Makassar State University (UNM). This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of peer reflection activities involving ten PJKR lecturers. The results showed that peer reflection significantly improved lecturers' pedagogical competence, reflective awareness, and innovative abilities in the learning process. In addition, this activity built a collaborative culture and professional communication among lecturers through an effective exchange of good practices. The implementation of peer reflection encouraged the emergence of a more student-centered learning approach, increased student engagement, and had a positive impact on learning outcomes. This study also produced a model for sharing good practices based on peer reflection that includes structured reflection, documentation, dissemination, and sustainability evaluation. Thus, peer reflection can be concluded as an effective and sustainable approach to improve teaching quality, strengthen academic collaboration, and support lecturers' professional development in higher education.
