Abstract: Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is a technology designed to integrate administrative, clinical, and managerial processes to improve service quality. However, the implementation of SIMRS can affect the workload of healthcare workers, especially if the implementation is not optimal. This study provides empirical evidence on the impact of SIMRS on workload in regional hospitals. This study aims to analyze the relationship between SIMRS implementation and healthcare worker workload at Cut Meutia Medika Nusantara General Hospital, Langsa. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach and involved all 41 inpatient healthcare workers using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95 percent confidence level. The results showed that the majority of respondents considered the implementation of SIMRS to be poor (65.9 percent) and 73.2 percent of them felt an increase in workload. Respondents who considered SIMRS to be poor mostly (85.2 percent) stated that the system increased the workload, while in the group who considered it good, only 50 percent felt the same. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between SIMRS implementation and the workload of health workers (p equals 0.016). This finding confirms that suboptimal SIMRS implementation contributes to an increase in administrative burden. SIMRS optimization is important to reduce workload and improve service quality.
