Perkembangan Karakter dan Prestasi Atlet Gulat Melalui Pendekatan, Komitmen, serta Pelatihan Terstruktur: Studi Autobiografi Fitri Nur Andriani Peraih Medali Perunggu PON Medan Sumatera Utara XXI Tahun 2024

Abstract: This article is an autobiographical analysis of Fitri Nur Andriani, an accomplished wrestler, focusing on her character development and sporting achievements. Fitri began her wrestling career in junior high school and progressed through various levels of competition, eventually winning a bronze medal at the 21st National Sports Week (PON) in Medan, North Sumatra, which was attended by 197 athletes from 24 provinces. Using a qualitative narrative method, this paper examines the role of structured training, personal discipline, and formal education in shaping her athletic performance. The results of the study indicate that perseverance, commitment, and consistent training are the main keys to her development. Furthermore, this article reveals the psychological and physical challenges faced, as well as the crucial support from family, coaches, and peers. The practical implication of this study is the need to develop athlete development programs that emphasize not only physical aspects but also psychological ones, through mental guidance, motivation, and social support. An experience-based coaching model like Fitri's can be used as a reference in developing training strategies in schools and sports clubs, making them more adaptive to the needs of individual athletes. Furthermore, these findings emphasize the importance of synergy between educational institutions, families, and coaches in producing high-achieving athletes with strong character, thereby encouraging the regeneration of athletes in wrestling and other sports in Indonesia.
Abstrak: Artikel ini merupakan analisis autobiografi mengenai Fitri Nur Andriani, seorang atlet gulat yang berprestasi, dengan fokus pada pembentukan karakter dan capaian olahraga yang diraihnya. Fitri memulai perjalanannya di dunia gulat sejak duduk di bangku sekolah menengah pertama dan terus berkembang melalui berbagai jenjang kompetisi, hingga berhasil meraih medali perunggu pada ajang Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XXI di Medan, Sumatera Utara yang diikuti oleh 197 atlet dari 24 provinsi. Dengan menggunakan metode naratif kualitatif, tulisan ini menelaah peran latihan yang terstruktur, disiplin pribadi, dan pendidikan formal dalam membentuk performa atletiknya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ketekunan, komitmen, dan latihan yang konsisten menjadi kunci utama dalam perkembangan dirinya. Selain itu, artikel ini juga mengungkap tantangan psikologis dan fisik yang dihadapi, serta dukungan penting dari keluarga, pelatih, dan rekan rekannya. Implikasi praktis dari studi ini adalah perlunya pengembangan program pembinaan atlet yang tidak hanya menekankan aspek fisik, tetapi juga psikologis, melalui pendampingan mental, motivasi, dan dukungan sosial. Model pembinaan berbasis pengalaman seperti yang dialami Fitri dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam menyusun strategi pelatihan di sekolah maupun klub olahraga, agar lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan individu atlet. Selain itu, temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara lembaga pendidikan, keluarga, dan pelatih dalam mencetak atlet berprestasi yang memiliki karakter tangguh, sehingga dapat mendorong regenerasi atlet gulat maupun cabang olahraga lain di Indonesia.
