Meningkatkan Keterampilan Motorik Melalui Permainan Tradisional Pada Peserta Didik Sekolah Dasar di Daerah Rawan Bencana

Abstract

Abstract: Disaster-prone areas present various challenges, including psychological, social, and physical impacts on children. One approach that can be used to reduce these impacts is through traditional games, which are believed to be able to improve children's motor skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of traditional games on the motor skills of elementary school students in disaster-prone areas. The study used a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design conducted in Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta involving elementary school students in landslide-prone areas. Data were collected through tests and measurements of motor skills of the shuttle run 4 times 10 meters, a 1-meter ball throw-catch test against a wall, stork stand positional balance, and a 30-meter sprint. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in motor skills after being given treatment in the form of traditional games (p value 0.000 less than 0.05). The results of this study indicate that traditional games play an important role in improving children's motor skills in disaster-prone areas. Traditional games not only provide recreational value but also function as educational therapy tools to help children improve disaster preparedness.

Abstrak: Daerah rawan bencana menghadirkan berbagai tantangan, termasuk dampak psikologis, sosial, dan fisik pada anak-anak. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi dampak tersebut adalah melalui permainan tradisional, yang diyakini mampu meningkatkan keterampilan motorik anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh permainan tradisional terhadap keterampilan motorik peserta didik sekolah dasar di daerah rawan bencana. Penelitian menggunakan desain pra eksperimen one group pre test post test yang dilakukan di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang melibatkan siswa sekolah dasar di wilayah rawan bencana tanah longsor. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan pengukuran keterampilan motorik shuttle run 4 kali 10 meter, tes lempar tangkap bola jarak 1 meter ke tembok, stork stand positional balance, dan lari cepat 30 meter. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan motorik setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa permainan tradisional (nilai p value 0,000 kurang dari 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional berperan penting dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik anak-anak di daerah rawan bencana. Permainan tradisional tidak hanya memberikan nilai rekreasi tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai alat terapi pendidikan untuk membantu anak-anak dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana.
