Potensi Nefroprotektif Tablet Effervescent Rosa damascena Mill dalam Menurunkan Kadar Ureum dan Kreatinin pada Tikus yang Diinduksi CCl₄

Abstract: Kidney damage due to carbon tetrachloride (CCl₄) exposure is associated with oxidative stress due to excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Rosa damascene Mill contains flavonoids and anthocyanins as powerful antioxidants. This study evaluated the nephroprotective effect of Rosa damascena Mill effervescent tablets on kidney function of rats induced by CCl₄. A total of 25 male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: negative control, positive control, and three treatment groups receiving Rosa damascena Mill effervescent tablets with different doses (P1, P2, P3). Induction of kidney damage was carried out by intraperitoneal injection of CCl₄, followed by measurement of serum creatinine and urea levels. Statistical analysis was performed using One Way ANOVA and Tukey's post hoc test. The results showed that Rosa damascene Mill effervescent tablets significantly decreased serum creatinine and urea levels in the treatment group compared to the positive control (p less than 0.05). The most optimal kidney protection effect was observed in the medium dose (P2) and high dose (P3) groups. These findings suggest that Rosa damascena Mill may be a potential therapeutic option to protect renal function in cases of CCl₄ induced toxicity.
Abstrak: Kerusakan ginjal akibat paparan karbon tetraklorida (CCl₄) dikaitkan dengan stres oksidatif akibat produksi berlebih spesies oksigen reaktif (ROS). Rosa damascene Mill mengandung flavonoid dan antosianin sebagai antioksidan kuat. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efek nefroprotektif tablet effervescent Rosa damascena Mill terhadap fungsi ginjal tikus yang diinduksi CCl₄. Sebanyak 25 ekor tikus Wistar jantan dibagi menjadi lima kelompok: kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, dan tiga kelompok perlakuan yang menerima tablet effervescent Rosa damascena Mill dengan dosis berbeda (P1, P2, P3). Induksi kerusakan ginjal dilakukan melalui injeksi intraperitoneal CCl₄, diikuti dengan pengukuran kadar kreatinin dan urea serum. Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan One Way ANOVA dan uji post hoc Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tablet effervescent Rosa damascene Mill secara signifikan menurunkan kadar kreatinin dan urea serum pada kelompok perlakuan dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif (p kurang dari 0,05). Efek perlindungan ginjal paling optimal diamati pada kelompok dosis sedang (P2) dan dosis tinggi (P3). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Rosa damascena Mill dapat menjadi pilihan terapeutik yang potensial untuk melindungi fungsi ginjal pada kasus toksisitas yang diinduksi CCl₄.
