Abstract: Furnace workers face significant occupational hazards due to their potential exposure to high levels of noise generated by combustion engines in boiler stations. From the preliminary study, it was found that 30 workers experienced symptoms of hypertension. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between age, work shifts, and continuous noise with the possibility of hypertension in furnace workers at the PG Rejo Agung Baru boiler station, Madiun City. This research uses a quantitative analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was determined using total sampling, because the population studied was 30 workers, all of whom had a history of smoking. Data collection in this study used observation sheets, an Omron digital tensimeter, and a sound level meter. The data analysis stage uses the chi-square test and Wilcoxon test. Research findings show a significant correlation between age and hypertension (p=0.027). However, no significant association was observed between shift work and risk of hypertension (p=0.563), nor between ongoing distractions and risk of hypertension (p=0.027) with the p being 0.705. This research shows that the age variable is related to the risk of hypertension.
