Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Tolak Peluru Gaya Ortodoks melalui Metode Discovery Learning Pada Siswa Smp Kelas VIII

Sports and health physical education is one of the fields of study contained in the junior high school
curriculum which is a teaching and learning activity through physical and sports activities. Orthodox style shot
put learning is included in the scope of material given in class VIII. The purpose of this study was to improve the
learning outcomes of orthodox bullet-style students in class VIII-I of SMP Negeri 10 Malang by using discovery
learning methods. The design used in this research is classroom action research. The data analysis technique
used by researchers is qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Furthermore, based on classroom
action research, the percentage of activeness attained an average result of 92. 18 percent can be said to be very good,
the disciplinary attitude obtained an average yield of 93. 22%, it can be said to be very good, the attitudes of
attentiveness obtain an average result 77. 08% can be said to be good. Psychomotor assessment on the prefix
movement obtained 87. 3% results can be said to be very good, on the implementation movement the results
obtained 78. 12% can be said to be good, on the suffix movements obtaining results 81. 25% can be said to be
very good.
Pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan merupakan salah satu bidang studi yang terdapat pada
kurikulum sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) yang merupakan sebuah kegiatan belajar mengajar melalui
kegiatan jasmani dan olahraga. Pembelajaran tolak peluru gaya ortodoks termasuk ke dalam cakupan materi
yang diberikan pada kelas VIII. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tolak peluru
gaya ortodoks siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 10 Malang dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning.
Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan oleh peneliti adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Selanjutnya berdasarkan penelitian
tindakan kelas diperoleh hasil persentase pada sikap keaktifan memperoleh hasil rata-rata 92,18% dapat
dikatakan baik sekali, pada sikap kedisiplinan memperoleh hasil rata-rata 93,22% dapat dikatakan baik sekali,
pada sikap perhatian memperoleh hasil rata-rata 77,08% dapat dikatakan baik. Penilaian psikomotorik pada
gerakan awalan memperoleh hasil 87,3% dapat dikatakan baik sekali, pada gerakan pelaksanaan memperoleh
hasil 78,12% dapat dikatakan baik, pada gerakan akhiran memperoleh hasil 81,25% dapat dikatakan baik sekali.
