This research is motivated by the dynamics of subjective well-being among students in early adulthood, a period characterized by academic demands, social adjustments, and psychological stress that can influence their evaluations of life. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control and subjective well-being in college students. A quantitative correlational design was used to analyze the relationship among variables. The study participants were 177 undergraduate Psychology students selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection was conducted using the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) to measure self-control, as well as the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and the Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) to measure subjective well-being. Data analysis used Pearson correlation after the normality assumption test was met. The results showed a strong and significant positive relationship between self-control and subjective well-being (r = 0.699; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that students with higher levels of self-control tend to have better subjective well-being, both in terms of cognitive evaluation and affective balance. The research findings underscore the importance of self-control as a psychological factor related to students' subjective well-being.
