Kajian Politik pada Generasi Z: Menelisik Pengaruh Efikasi Politik dan Literasi Digital terhadap Perilaku Memilih di Indonesia

This research aims to investigate the influence of political efficacy and digital literacy on the voting behavior of Generation Z in Indonesia using a quantitative approach. The research population consists of Generation Z individuals aged 18-26, who are registered as permanent voters. Data was collected through an online questionnaire using three scales: Digital Literacy Scale to measure digital literacy, Political Efficacy Short Scale to measure political efficacy, and Voting Behavior Scale to measure voting behavior. Through convenience sampling, a total of 444 respondents (M=82, F=362) were obtained. The collected data was then analyzed using binary logistic regression. The research findings indicate that both digital literacy and political efficacy, either simultaneously or partially, can predict voting behavior, with a predictive range of 32.9% to 42.6%. Another interesting finding from the research is that external political efficacy is not a predictor of voting behavior in presidential elections (p > .05). Further theoretical and practical recommendations will be discussed.
Abstrak
Riset ini mencoba untuk menginvestigasi lebih mendalam terkait pengaruh efikasi politik dan literasi digital terhadap perilaku memilih pada generasi Z di Indonesia melalui pendekatan kuantiatif. Populasi dalam riset ini adalah generasi Z yang berumur 18-26 tahun atau yang sudah terdaftar sebagai Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT). Data diambil melalui kuesioner online menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu Digital Literacy Scale untuk mengukur literasi digital, Political Efficacy Short Scale untuk mengukur efikasi politik, dan Skala Perilaku Memilih untuk mengukur perilaku memilih. Melalui convenience sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 444 responden (L=82, P= 362). Data yang sudah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan binary logistic regression. Hasil riset menunjukkan baik secara simultan maupun parsial variabel literasi digital dan efikasi politik mampu menjadi prediktor perilaku memilih dengan besaran prediksi pada rentang 32,9 – 42,6 persen. Temuan lain yang menarik dari riset ini menunjukkan jika efikasi politik eksternal tidak mampu menjadi prediktor perilaku memilih pada pemilihan presiden (p > ,05). Adapun saran secara teoritis dan praktis akan diuraikan lebih lanjut.
