Abstract

Women with disabilities face various barriers in developing economic independence, including limited entrepreneurial skills and low self-efficacy. This study aims to develop and evaluate an experiential learning-based training program to improve both aspects among members of the Indonesian Association of Women with Disabilities. Employing a participatory action research approach, the study was conducted in three phases: needs assessment using the Organization–Task–Person (OTP) model, participatory design and implementation of the training, and evaluation through thematic coding analysis. The results show significant improvements in participants' confidence, business planning awareness, and communication skills. Three major themes emerged: increased self-confidence, more structured entrepreneurial awareness, and improved product communication abilities. The experiential learning-based training not only enhanced participants’ knowledge but also positively influenced their attitudes and behaviors. The study concludes that contextually designed training that integrates self-efficacy and entrepreneurial skills can serve as an effective empowerment strategy for women with disabilities and is recommended for replication in similar community contexts.
