Gambaran Perkembangan Bahasa pada Anak dengan ADHD: Tinjauan Literatur

Language ability is crucial and essential for individuals. Language is used for communication, allowing people to connect with others and build a good social environment. Language development is particularly important for early childhood as it is related to cognitive and social development. However, some children experience difficulties in understanding language, following instructions and comprehension concepts, as well as grammatical concepts, making their speech difficult to understand. This condition can be found in children with ADHD. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of language development in children with ADHD, including the dynamics of their language development and appropriate interventions or strategies to address language development issues in children with ADHD. This article employs a literature review method. The results from the literature review analysis indicate that children with ADHD have difficulties with pragmatic language, tend to omit and alter phonemes, and exhibit minor issues in language structure.
Abstrak
Kemampuan berbahasa merupakan hal yang krusial dan penting dimiliki pada individu. Bahasa digunakan untuk melakukan komunikasi, dapat saling berhubung dengan manusia lain sehingga dapat membentuk lingkungan sosial yang baik. Bagi anak usia dini, perkembangan kemampuan bahasa ini cukup penting karena berkaitan dengan perkembangan pada kemampuan kognitif dan juga sosialnya. Namun, terdapat kondisi dimana anak memiliki masalah dalam memahami bahasa, mengikuti petunjuk dan konsep pemahaman, dan juga konsep gramatikal yang membuat apa yang mereka tuturkan sulit untuk dipahami. Kondisi ini dapat ditemui pada anak dengan ADHD. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perkembangan bahasa anak dengan ADHD yang terdiri dari dinamika perkembangan bahasa anak dengan ADHD serta intervensi atau strategi yang tepat dalam mengatasi masalah perkembangan bahasa pada anak dengan dengan ADHD. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode literature review. Hasil yang ditemukan berdasarkan analisis literature review menyebutkan bahwa anak dengan ADHD memiliki masalah pada bahasa pragmatis mereka, gemar menghilangkan dan merubah fonem, dan ditemukannya sedikit masalah pada struktur bahasanya.
