Abstract

This study examines the growing body of research on the intersection of parenting, early childhood development, and technology. As technology increasingly integrates into parenting practices, there is a need for a comprehensive overview of the research landscape. This study aims to map the trends, identify key contributors, and highlight emerging themes within this domain. A quantitative bibliometric analysis was conducted using publications indexed in Scopus from 2000 to 2025. The search strategy focused on terms related to parenting, early childhood, and technology, with a specific emphasis on psychological research. After applying exclusion criteria, 188 articles were selected for analysis. The results show a significant increase in publications, particularly from 2018 onward, with the highest publication output recorded in 2024. Network analysis revealed four major thematic clusters: screen time, child behavior, parental stress, and autism. The study also observed a shift toward more child-centered research, with a growing interest in interactive technologies. Despite the advancements, gaps remain in parental well-being and family dynamics, indicating a need for future research that explores both child development and the broader psychosocial context of digital parenting.
