Peran Workplace Well-Being dalam Meningkatkan Work Engagement pada Karyawan Di PT X

Work engagement is an important aspect that employees should possess, as it is one of the factors that can make a company productive. PT X is a growing cigarette distribution company. PT X has significant development potential due to the increasing number of tobacco product users. Therefore, the work engagement of employees is crucial to support productivity at PT X. Workplace well-being is a predictor of work engagement. Thus, this study aims to examine the role of workplace well-being in enhancing work engagement among employees at PT X. This research uses a quantitative method with purposive non-random sampling as the sampling technique. A total of 65 participants, all employees of PT X, were involved in this study. The research instruments used include the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) to measure work engagement and the Workplace Well-being Questionnaire (WWQ) to measure workplace well-being. The results show that workplace well-being plays a role in increasing work engagement among employees at PT X, contributing 42.1%. This finding can provide valuable insights for the company to improve employee work engagement through workplace well-being.
Abstrak
Work engagement merupakan hal penting yang harus dimiliki oleh karyawan. Sebab salah satu hal yang dapat membuat perusahaan menjadi produktif salah satunya karena work engagement karyawan. PT X merupakan salah satu perusahaan distribusi rokok yang sedang berkembang. PT X memiliki banyak potensi pengembangan perusahaan dikarenakan adanya peningkatan pengguna produk hasil tembakau. Sehingga perlunya work engagement yang dimiliki karyawan untuk mendukung produktivitas bagi PT X. Workplace well-being ditemukan menjadi prediktor dari work engagement. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran workplace well-being dalam meningkatakan work engagement pada karyawan PT X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel ialah purposive non-random sampling. Total partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebesar 65 partisipan yang merupakan karyawan PT X. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) untuk mengukur variabel work engagement dan Workplace Well-being Questionnaire (WWQ) untuk mengukur variabel workplace well-being. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran workplace well-being dalam meningkatkan work engagement pada karyawan di PT X, dengan kontribusi yang diberikan sebesar 42,1%. Sehingga hal ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi perusahaan untuk dapat meningkatkan work engagement karyawan melalui workplace well-being.
