Abstract

Academic achievement stated as one of the indicators of study success. One of the factors that influence academic achievement is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a psychological aspect that exists within individuals to succeed. High and low self-efficacy can be related to individual achievement or success. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic achievement in students, specifically students at the State University of Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational research methods. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a total of 165 participants involved. The instrument used was The Academic Self-efficacy Scale (TASES) developed by Sagone & Caroli (2014) which has been adapted. From the correlation coefficient test using SPSS 25, r=0.291 was obtained with a significance value of 0.000 (p>0.05). The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship with a weak degree of relationship between self-efficacy and learning achievement.

Abstrak
Prestasi akademik dinayatakan sebagai salah satu indikator keberhasilan studi. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi prestasi akademik adalah self-efficacy. Self-efficacy merupakan aspek psikologis yang ada dalam diri individu untuk berhasil. Tinggi rendahnya self-efficacy dapat berhubungan dengan prestasi atau keberhasilan individu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan self-efficacy dengan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa, secara khusus mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling dengan total partisipan yang terlibat sebanyak 165 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah The Academic Self-efficacy Scale (TASES) yang dikembangkan oleh Sagone & Caroli (2014) yang telah diadaptasi. Dari uji koefisien korelasi menggunakan SPSS 25, diperoleh r=0,624 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 (p>0.05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dengan derajat hubungan yang lemah antara self-efficacy dan prestasi belajar.
