HUBUNGAN PEER ATTACHMENT DENGAN SCHOOL CONNECTEDNESS PADA MAHASISWA ANGKATAN 2020 DI KOTA MALANG PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract: The modification in learning methods due to the covid-19 pandemic can affect student school connectedness. Whereas school connectedness is needed because it has an impact on student learning motivation. One of the factors that support school connectedness is their peers. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between peer, especially peer attachment, and school connectedness in the class of 2020 students in Malang City during the Pandemic Period. The population of this study was 34,704 students with a sample of 374 students obtained by incidental sampling technique. This study uses two measuring instruments: the school connectedness scale (α = 0.877) and the peer attachment scale (α = 0.906). The results of Pearson's product moment correlation analysis show that peer attachment has a positive relationship with School connectedness (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.314. Based on this research, It was concluded that there was a positive relationship between peer attachment and school connectedness among the class of 2020 students in Malang City during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Abstrak: Perubahan metode pembelajaran dari luar jaringan (luring) ke metode pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring) akibat pandemi covid-19 dapat mempengaruhi keterhubungan mahasiswa dengan kampusnya, atau disebut school connectedness. Padahal school connectedness dibutuhkan agar mahasiswanya tetap terhubung dengan kampus dan berdampak pada motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mendukung school connectedness adalah hubungan teman sebaya yang positif. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara teman sebaya yang positif, khususnya peer attachment dengan school connectedness pada mahasiswa angkatan 2020 di Kota Malang pada Masa Pandemi. Populasi penelitian ini sejumlah 34.704 mahasiswa angkatan 2020 di Kota Malang dengan sampel berjumlah 374 diperoleh dengan teknik incidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua alat ukur yaitu skala school connectedness (α= 0,877) dan skala peer attachment (α = 0,887). Hasil analisis korelasi product moment pearson menunjukkan bahwa peer attachment memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan School connectedness (p < 0,05) dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,314. Berdasarkan penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara peer attachment dengan school connectedness pada mahasiswa angkatan 2020 di Kota Malang pada masa pandemi Covid-19.
