Pengembangan komik matematika sebagai media pembelajaran untuk membantu memahamkan siswa SMP kelas VII pokok bahasan perbandingan
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to make the 7th grader students easily understand mathematic’s problem about comparison. This development research is using research and development model which is adapted and modified from research and development procedure by Thiagarajan. There are several steps in this procedures, they are (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop. Based on the application of the three steps, they resulted in media comic of comparison. This comic presents four different story (Belajar Kelompok, Cake and Time, Study Tour, and Skala). To test the accountability of this comic, validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test were conducted. From the test, it was found that comic fulfilled the validity with a score of 3,625 for the validity of the comic medium, 3,884 for the validity evaluation test, and 3,846 for the validity student questionnaire responses, practice because 95% of the students gave positive responses, and effective because 85% of students meet the learning completeness. So, it can be concluded that comics can be used as an alternative mathematics learning solutions to improve student’s understanding of the comparison material
