Abstract

Abstract: E-Sport addiction, lack of control over the excessive use of E-Sport games causes anxious people to become addicted to E-Sports psychologically and emotionally. Adolescence is a period of transition, adolescents are prone to stress, and excessive online games are an indicator of stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between E-Sport addiction and stress in students of SMP Negeri 22 Malang. This research is an analytic survey with a sample taken using a probability sampling technique using the Slovin formula as many as 82 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The results of the study used the Pearson Correlation Product Moment statistical test analysis with p equal to 0.00. Conclusion This study shows that there is a relationship between online game addiction (E-Sport) and stress at SMP Negeri 22 Malang.

Abstrak: Kecanduan E-Sport, kurangnya kontrol atas penggunaan game E-Sport yang berlebihan menyebabkan orang yang cemas menjadi kecanduan E-Sport secara psikologis dan emosional. Masa remaja merupakan masa transisi, remaja rentan mengalami stres, dan game online yang berlebihan merupakan salah satu indikator stres. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan E-Sport dengan stres pada siswa siswi SMP Negeri 22 Malang. Penelitian ini bersifat survei analitik dengan sampel diambil dengan teknik pengambilan probability sampling menggunakan rumus slovin yaitu sebanyak 82 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis uji statistik Pearson Correlation Product Moment dengan nilai p sama dengan 0,00. Kesimpulan Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kecanduan game online (E-Sport) dengan stres di SMP Negeri 22 Malang.
