Q-CARE: INOVASI PEMBINAAN KARAKTER QUR’ANI MAHASISWA TAHFIDZ MELALUI SELF-ASSESSMENT DAN MENTORING REFLEKTIF

Character development among tahfidz university students in boarding environments faces various challenges, especially when the approach tends to be informal and lacks a structured system. In fact, students are in a transitional stage toward full independence and therefore require reflective and personalized guidance. This study aims to develop and observe the initial implementation of the Q-CARE program (Qur’anic Character and Reflective Mentoring) as a character-building innovation based on AIK values (Akhlaq, Iman, and Kebersamaan) at Rumah Qur’an Saintek, UIN Bandung. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a field-based reflective practice approach. The research subjects were eight resident students actively engaged in the tahfidz program and mentoring sessions. Data collection instruments included self-assessment forms, mentor evaluation rubrics, observations, and early reflections through questionnaires. The results indicate that Q-CARE successfully fostered self-awareness, increased personal responsibility, and created a safe and meaningful space for character evaluation. Participants also showed enthusiasm for the mentoring sessions and were actively involved in the program’s technical implementation. This innovation proves to be relevant and adaptable for implementation at other educational levels, with appropriate contextual adjustments.
Pembinaan karakter pada mahasiswa tahfidz di lingkungan asrama masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama karena pendekatan yang digunakan cenderung informal dan kurang sistematis. Padahal, mahasiswa berada dalam masa transisi menuju kemandirian, sehingga memerlukan pembinaan yang reflektif dan personal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan mengamati implementasi awal program Q-CARE (Qur’anic Character and Reflective Mentoring) sebagai inovasi pembinaan karakter berbasis nilai AIK (Akhlak, Iman, dan Kebersamaan) di Rumah Qur’an Saintek UIN Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan praktik reflektif berbasis lapangan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari delapan santri mukim yang mengikuti program tahfidz dan kegiatan mentoring. Instrumen pengumpulan data mencakup formulir self-assessment, rubrik evaluasi mentor, observasi, serta refleksi awal melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Q-CARE mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran diri, meningkatkan tanggung jawab personal, dan menciptakan ruang evaluasi karakter yang aman dan mendalam. Santri juga menunjukkan antusiasme terhadap sesi mentoring dan terlibat aktif dalam pelaksanaan teknis program. Inovasi ini terbukti relevan dan fleksibel untuk diterapkan di berbagai jenjang pendidikan lainnya dengan penyesuaian konteks.
