This study aims to analyze a student's need for a recitation program as a computer-based interactive media on Newton's law material. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, by using the research subjects are Physics students at the State University of Malang who have taken the Basic Physics 1 course. The data collection technique used in this research is to use a survey by distributing questionnaires about the lecture process that has been experienced. The results showed that students' understanding of concepts was still low on Newton's law material. There are several factors that cause this to happen, namely 1) limited time allocation in lectures; 2) lack of giving feedback when learning; 3) lectures that only refer to textbooks and explanations given by lecturers; and 4) lack of practice questions. Based on these problems, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop a recitation program as an interactive learning medium to assist students in understanding concepts correctly. The recitation program contains questions accompanied by feedback on each answer option presented.
