Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the IBMR (Investigation-based-Multiple Representation) teaching model assisted by learning videos on physics problem-solving skills in momentum and impulse materials in high school. This study used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model for 36 students of class X MIPA 1. The effectiveness of this study was determined based on the average pretest and posttest scores and student responses to the learning process. The data collected in the form of pretest and post-test values were analyzed using t-test and N gain analysis. Meanwhile, student responses were measured by looking for percentages. The results showed that the N-gain value for all indicators of problem-solving ability was 0.74 with a high category, significant physics problem-solving ability at a = 5% and student responses were categorized as very good with a value of > 85% to the learning process, so it can be concluded that it is concluded that the IBMR teaching model assisted by video learning is effective on students' physics problem-solving abilities, because this model helps students in physics modeling and understanding concepts through representation skills.
